The vintage and collected car show runs from 11 am – 3 pm on Saturday and Sunday. NEW location: Across from Gold Medal Park and the Guthrie Theater on West River Parkway. Located near the courtyard entrance at Mill City Museum, this provides private space for soothing, nursing/feeding, and caring for small children. Parents with infants and toddlers are invited to use the Mobile Family Care Center presented by North Coast Realty. Open Eye Figure Theater will perform on Sunday at 11:30 am. Hosted by Mill City Museumįamilies will find entertainment and activities in the Mill City Museum courtyard and surrounding area. The core of the festival is the 200+ juried artists. The Stone Arch Bridge Festival is the third largest festival in Minneapolis and features art, music and other interactive experiences. The festival stretches nearly a mile along the riverfront from Gold Medal Park, Stone Arch Bridge, the Hennepin Ave. After 25 years on the east side of the Mississippi River, the festival moved in 2021 and now makes its home on the west side of the river along West River Parkway. The Stone Arch Bridge Festival returns Father’s Day weekend June 18 & 19. Here is the festival’s official news release: “We have seen a steady increase in applications for artists over the past few years,” said Collins, “but 2021-2022 have been especially strong.” From the bridge to Gold Medal Park, they’ll be featuring the Art of the Car show and 2 of the 3 specialty markets (The Black Market and the Vintage and Vinyl Market). There will be 235 juried artists this year between the Stone Arch Bridge and the North Loop playground, along with food, drink (beer, cider, wine + NA beverages), Culinary Arts Market, the Cities 97.1 performance stage and the Art in Action area with live mural painting and two renowned chalk artists. Construction continues in Father Hennepin Park for the next few years so we do plan to stay on the west side of the riverfront.” “We got a lot of feedback about how more connected to the river the west side seems because it’s more visible,” said festival spokesperson Sara Collins. After an overwhelmingly positive response to last year’s switch to the west side of the river, the Stone Arch Bridge Festival will be back on this side again this year, June 18th and 19th, from 4th Avenue North in the North Loop to Gold Medal Park in the Mill District.
